Police have arrested a BSF man for allegedly raping a 21-year-old girl. The incident has been reported from Dwarka More Metro station in New Delhi. The accused Anuj (25) has been detained by the police. The case will be transferred to the concerned police station of the district.
A senior police official said a PCR call was received from the Dwarka More area around 4:30 pm. The complainant said that she has raped by her friend Anuj (25). She further informed that Anuj had called her to meet in the afternoon. He took her to a tent house in Najafgarh area and tried to be intimate with her. Later, he came to drop her to Dwarka More Metro station.
The boy allegedly threatened her not to reveal the incident. The girl told police that she was scared of him and was looking for a chance to inform the police. She called the police when they reached Dwarka More Metro station. Anuj was caught by CISF personnel. Metro Police took the statement of the girl.
The victim made a call from the Metro station after which police reached on the spot and detained Anuj. The official said that they have informed Najafgarh police station in this connection to get an FIR of rape registered. Anuj is posted as a BSF constable. His father is a Delhi Police constable.
The accused had been in contact with the victim for the past eight-nine months. They were friends and they used to go out often, the official added.
