I am saluting you for writing truth of the armed forces .
it is right ,and no one is having guts to do anything against this corruptions .And do not join in armed forces , it is not a good job for Indian ladies , if you do not have job you are little bit economically week not that you are doing the slavery or not killing the consciousness. This jobs are not at all suiting to ladies at any cost , and those who are from like this background , or worse than this background it is suitable . honestly speaking if you are from respectable family and soft-kind personality do not look at armed forces .it is horrible .
I agree with the above comments as I too served the navy for 12 years including my training. One of the main reasons for the harassment in navy is arrogant and crazy officers. Sailors hardly get any justice from them because the justice has also come from another officer. However, I know there were some good officers who could do some good at times in reducing the miseries of sailors. And some officers were bold to defend justice for sailors. In general Naval life of sailors is not good for specially they are intelligent and good.
IT IS NOT GENDER BIAS BUT RESPECT TO OUR WOMEN THAT WE DO NOT WANT TO SEE THEM MISERIES LIKE POW .DUE TO THERE PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY THE PROBLEM RELATED TO NATURAL CALL/BATHING EXTRA BURDEN TO TR0OPS. I KNOW A CO WHO HAD A WOMEN OFFICER SAID IT NEVER CAME TO MY MIND THAT I HAVE TO CATER FOR SPECIAL TO FEMALE NEED & I CANNOT SEND HER TO FORWARD AREA DUE TO HER/NATION SAFETY
WOMEN ARE VERY INTELLIGENT THEY OUT SHINE MEN
USE THEM IN RESPECTABLE FIELDS

A MAN CANNOT GIVE DELIVERY BIRTH TO CHILD. WILL YOU SAY IT IS GENDER BIAS

why is that you say you are not gender biased and still say that women cant do be a good fighter pilot just because that field is dominated by men when you do not even give women a proper chance to prove themselves? . according to me people should be judged according to their character , their strength and weaknesses not by their gender. give us women a chance thats all we ask.

The Defence is not suitable for women, as they are not being capable to handle difficult situations but being the kingdom of the Officers. Navy have to remove laddies officers (remember officers) from ship as there was a lot of sexual harassment by superior officers. It was the case of Lady Officers what will happen if it was a Lady sailor (Jawan). I was in Navy and saw all these dirty things. Who is not worried to swap their wives, will they spare a young junior (http://www.sunday-guardian.com/news/wife-swapping-scandal-at-kochi-navy-base).
So it is a request never ever encourage any girl to join defence forces or a educated young boy to join defence as any rank other than an officer.
In Navy you don’t have any freedom. There are two rules for sailors and officer (not legally). They will make rules for you and will break them infront of you. I was punished for referring officers as ‘Aadmi’. They are not to be referred as Men but Officers. I was suffering from the slavery (yes I was a slave there) 15 years. I hate Indian Navy then, now and till I die.
Let our brothers and sisters choose 1000s of other occupation other than Indian Defence Forces.
